Position: Junior Product Manager
First Strike® PepperBall® branded products are developed, manufactured and distributed by United Tactical Systems, LLC (“UTS”), a privately held company that provides less-lethal systems for correctional facilities, law enforcement, military, and private security. UTS products, sold under the trademark and brand name PepperBall®, have been proven safe and effective by more than 5,000 agencies including the United States Border Patrol and the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as well as private entities, security services and bail enforcement agencies around the world. UTS also offers recreational shooting products within the consumer sporting goods market.
UTS has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Product Manager. This role works with the product management and marketing teams in determining product vision, positioning, and direction. This position will also work within Product Lifecycle Management: The Junior Product Manager is responsible for the identification of new opportunities, service improvements, and cost reductions and reports to the Director of Product Management
Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with a strong bias for driving results and have the following education and experience, we’d love to hear from you!
- A BA or BS in in Marketing, Engineering or Business is required OR 1+ years’ marketing experience required with a minimum of 1+ years of Product Management experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills used to gain consensus and reach effective solutions across cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge in product marketing and product life cycle management
- Hands on experience working with industrial channels of distribution including distributors, direct sales and manufacturer’s reps.
